As I knew of Scott Racing Services Ltd and their great reputation in the motor sport preparation business, I had no hesitation in hiring the Camaro with my colleague and friend, TK.  We had been told that your company operated to a very high standard of preparation and that in addition the track side race service would ensure we enjoyed a great trouble free race.  That proved to be the case on both scores.

I checked your reputation with previous customers and high profile drivers such as Rob Huff, World Touring Car Champion who had several drives in the Camaro, describing it as ‘immaculate, prepared to an exceptionally high standard’ which is what we found.  Out of 63 starters at Spa, a daunting track at the best of times, we finished second, the car never missed a beat.

For this achievement you need to leave no stone unturned and this has been your approach.  Every last nut, bolt and washer on the car was correct, the engine bay and interior alone bore evidence of the levels of professionalism.  As we commented at the time Scott Racing Services seemed to be the ‘McLaren’ of the classic car racing world.  That level of preparation was reflected in the driving experience of the Camaro around Spa, a difficult and very fast track for a large American car from the late sixties.

Every aspect of the car provided a great driving experience.  Great solid gearbox mated to as very strong differential, super steering and powerful brakes.  I think the suspension and damping were very efficient meaning we ended up being able to chuck a big racer around and revel in the handling.
